What the taxman don’t take, the oilman does

Overall, except for the continuing saga of the male prostitute hiring county commissioner, errr…  make that former county commissioner, Bruce Barclay, the day was pretty decent.

Decided Sauerkraut needs a companion.

So it was decided to get a dog.  Yeah, you read that correctly:  a dawg.  A smallish perky dawg.  One that Sauerkraut ran and hid from when he came to visit.  I am gonna like this dawg.  Especially if he can catch squirrels.

Today was also the day taxes were finally completed.  And guess what?  The frikken alternative minimum tax is not going to kick us in the fiscal chops this year.  We are getting a blessed refund!!!  Oh, happy, happy, joy, joy.  And to top it off, we are eligible for gw’s ill-conceived “economic stimulus” crap.  We don’t get all of what’s available, but we do get a nice chunk of change – most of which will likely go to charitable causes that need the funding much more than we do.

Oh, and a new pair of running shoes.  I am going to buy a new pair of running shoes.  These Nikes of mine are about to fall apart to the point that even shoe goo ain’t gonna help.  Might even buy myself a nice new Red Sox baseball hat.

But the dog.  Tomorrow we get the dog.

Oh, is Sauerkraut ever gonna be pissed.  wet slimey hairball pissed.

I really do hope that we get that fun stimulus package because I’ll need all the help I can get with this divorce.
