While it’s been fun to read about Sarah Palin’s misadventures and mistatements, there have been more important things right here in pennsyltucky.
The new state law has been shutting down puppy mills.
The Guv and the state legislature still cannot get along and, for the 7th year in a row, no state budget was passed by the deadline. Thousands of pennsyltuckians now face weeks of work with no paychecks. Nice going, Ed Rendell.
And convicted child molester Robert Pavlovich faced his future in court this afternoon. The result? 10 to 19 years in a state pen of the DOC’s choosing. And… he has to register under Megan’s Law as a sexually violent predator. As a former police officer, that’s a designation that has to hurt.
Pavlovich had his defenders – a few of whom have spent their spring going after the parents of the girls who hurled the accusations of behavior unbecoming against him. Guess they are down at one of Perry County’s numerous pubs crying into their cheap beer right now.

Oh and I love how some of he comments at that article try to put some blame on the girls by asking where were there parents when they were o at all hours and so on and so forth. As if that has any relevance to the fact that this guy is a predator.
[ed note: one of the commenters is his brother, another a girlfriend and another a drinking buddy. I've seen worse on the pennlive perry county forum; fortunately, a relative of one of the girls keeps calling the regional newspaper to complain about some of those comments. He's gone for at least 10.5 years. His lawyer will appeal but I don't see it going anywhere.
Sadly, on the same day, a crossing guard/fire dept official just down the river get arrested for molesting 3 teenager boys. It never ends.]
