Critics draw blood; Sarah Palin quits midstream

For months, Sarah Palin was hammered by Alaskan bloggers of all stripes.

For the past few days, Sarah Palin was hammered by conservative bloggers. Major conservative bloggers, not the wingnuts.

Just a few minutes ago, Sarah Palin resigned as governor of Alaska. Just like that.

“It’s no more politics as usual,” she said a few times during a rambling, word salad speech in front of screeching seagulls at her home in Wasilla.

Yep. The re-emergence of her Alaska Independence Party ties was a big one. As were the words of Charles Krathamer and David Frum over at newmajority. Blood was drawn and Palin is marching back to the bench. What will she find in the land of pine sisters. Just more splinters.

But now the political junkies can get back to the serious stuff instead of being distracted by the three ring circus of Sarah Palin. No more word salads. And a much lower level of the cult of personality.

Good riddance, Sarah Palin. Don’t let the seagulls crap on your head as you walk out of the lime light.

UPDATE!! (yeah, already.) At least one blog is suggesting a criminal indictment is about to be unsealed: brad blog.

The only bad thing about this is the likely return of Ann Coulter’s tongue to the national stage.

Tried to see what mudflats had on this but it appears that mudflats is getting so much traffic that (as I write this) it has crashed!

Article from Frontiersman (nice ad for SarahPAC !! way to be objective journalists.) http://www.frontiersman.com/articles/2009/07/03/breaking_news/doc4a4e6012d4e81315267937.txt
